My Mission
My mission is to empower other homeowners (especially with old houses) with cost-effective, practical tips to create a home that is “livable and loveable”.
I’m not a home expert (yet). I’m not a hardcore DIYer (yet). You won’t see a perfect Martha Stewart home (probably never).
BUT you will see a REAL homeowner with an authentic everyday perspective, sharing sensational successes and epic misadventures…
My Experience
Ahhh… resume highlights…. besides living in old houses for 25+ years….
My graduate thesis evaluated home hazards (Check out that rocking 1990s hairdo!!!)
10+ years in environmental consulting involved researching the history of 100+ properties as well as dealing with fun environmental hazards.
Another 10+ years of insurance taught me that safety, preparation and maintenance is essential for protecting our families, homes, and assets.
